LH Muse: Rebekah Allred
What were you doing before you got into modeling?
I served in the Navy, I worked as a job coach for people with disabilities, and I worked as a training coordinator for a manufacturing company.
How do you describe your style?
My style is street wear, comfy with statement pieces. I am such a free spirit that I like to be able to feel comfortable and free in whatever I’m wearing, but I like to have a pop of color with a faux leather jacket or shoes or an accenting piece of jewelry.
What’s your favorite gemstone and why?
Emerald/jade because in high school I went to see The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace at the Phap Vuong Buddhist Monastery in Escondido, CA. The whole experience was surreal.
What are three things you can’t live without?
Macaroni and cheese, the outdoors and my vibrator.
What do you hope never changes?
People’s pure passion and advocacy for the environment.

I get mad hangry if I go to long too long without food.
What’s inspiring you in life right now?
Finding creative ways to eliminate single use plastic from my life and reconnecting with nature through rock climbing and hiking.
What causes are you passionate about?
I am passionate about working with people with disabilities, the environment and supporting companies who are developing long-term solutions to catastrophic environmental problems.
What do you wish you knew more about?
I wish I knew more about bad ass women in history and their historical impacts. For example, the first women to be elected mayor in the US, Susanna Salter, was put on the ballot as a joke to humiliate her and she ended up winning!

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am proud that I had the opportunity to serve my country in the Navy. I am also proud of making it as a model even though I was told “no” hundreds of times!
What does a femininity mean to you?
Femininity means equality based on hard work and merit, not by how you look.

I am enough and this is enough.

Being in the outdoors and away from the noise

Southeast Asia

If you had one message for the world, what would it be?
Try to put yourself in other people’s shoes. Empathy is the only way that we can grow as people. The golden rule is golden.

Surround yourself with people who are better than you
Attitude and effort are all that you can control
Be humble, be hungry, and show up
